AND A HARDDRIVE GOES BAD OR FILE PERMISSION/OWNERSHIP GETS CHANGED
YOU LOSE ACCESS TO THESE FILES. USE A THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE TO ENCRYPT FILES!!!

The very first thing you need to do trying to solve problems with Windows 7 is make sure you have all the updates installed. MS is working on their many problems and the fixes are included in their updates. MS does NOT have solutions for all of the problems at this time so you may not find a solution for your problem.

Windows 7 is pretty much the same as Vista, security is not as strict but basically the same for Home Users. If you do not see your problem listed on this page check the Vista section for the same problem.

You can't trust anything Microsoft does. Now they won't allow you to change the windows startup sound, all you can do is disable it. Now if they won't allow you to change the sound what else are they doing behind your backs you don't see or know about. They get worse with each new edition they come out with. You buy a new computer and MS has control of what you can do or can't, time to go with a MAC
