Could someone explain to me why the United States spends more money killing people than taking care of its own?
The tax rebate is Bush and his cronies way of bailing out big corporations using tax payers' money, it is NOT to help poorer America.
Why is there money to help big corporations, killing people, but when it comes to Social Security, the money is running out? Why don't they bail out Social Security? My measly $300 rebate has already gone to Big Oil. Yours most likely will end up in some big corporation's pockets too and our children will have to pick up the tab.

Error Message When You Try To Activate Windows Vista: "An Error Has Occurred"
After reading what Microsoft has below for solutions it boils down to this, Reactivate Windows using the Reactivation in Windows. I guess if that doesn’t work you will just have to call Microsoft. The exception to this is “The Computer Is Not Connected To The Internet". It is sad that Microsoft can put out a product as sloppy as this and the users have to do the work to make it work and then MS doesn’t really have a decent solution.

Symptoms
• When you try to activate Windows Vista, you may receive the following error message:

    0xC004F033	The Software Licensing Service reported that the product key is not allowed to be installed. Please see the event log for details.
    0XC004D401	The security processor reported a system file mismatch error.
    0x80080250	Unrecognized error.
    0x8004FC03	Unrecognized error.
    0X8004FE2D	HTTP_STATUS_DENIED.
    0x8004FE33	HTTP_STATUS_PROXY_AUTH_REQ.
    0x8004FE91	HTTP_STATUS_NOT_SUPPORTED.
    0x80072EE7	The server name or address could not be resolved.
    0x80072EFD	A connection with the server could not be established.
    0x80072F78	The server returned an invalid or unrecognized response.
    0x80072F8F	A security error occurred.

Solution
• Error codes 0xC004C003, 0xC004C001, 0xC004C008, 0xC004C812, 0xCD004F050, 0xC004C4CE, and 0x8007232B
  • If you receive one of these error codes, change the product key to activate Windows Vista. 1.
    • Click Start
    • Type System in the Start Search box
    • Click System in the Programs list. 2.
    • In the Windows activation section, click the Change product key link.
    • If you receive the User Account Control Dialog message, click Continue.
    • If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type password. 3.
    • In the Product key field, type the product key
    • Click Next. 4.
    • Follow the steps in the Windows Activation Wizard to complete the activation process.
