December 23,
2007
Dear Santa Claus:
Since it's already December 23rd I guess I'd better get
my gift list to you. I'm sorry I waited so long to get these requests
on paper and sent. I know if anyone is busy now, it's you! I've decided
since I'm blessed with so much for myself all ready; I'm only asking
for gifts for others this year.
First on my list, please bring world peace. This is
a huge request, I know. No doubt you'll need to speak to God on this
one. Even though you are Santa Claus, it will take His handy work
to make it happen. I just thought it made sense for you to make contact
with him, since you'll have lots of time to yourself, as you make
your trip around the world on Christmas. I know you will take time
to wipe the tears of family members who are sitting up; thinking about
their loved ones not coming home for Christmas this year or ever again.
Another gift I'd like to see for all people is plenty of potable drinking
water. Many are drinking from sources of water laden with billions
of bacteria, causing sickness and death. Without water, all life on
our planet will shrivel up and die. Please talk to God about good
water supplies, for His people, in your Christmas Eve travels.
Santa, you bring so much good out in people during the holiday season.
Many gifts are provided for those in need over the Christmas holiday.
People are more pleasant to each other while shopping and often provide
housing or food for those having hardships this time of year. Will
you please ask God to help humans everywhere keep that kind, loving
and giving holiday spirit throughout the coming year?
Santa, you and I both know that love is the only thing
that can save the world. And Santa, we know that God is Love.
That's why I'm asking you to speak for the world and
those living in it.
My final request Santa…….. When you make contact with the Father,
please tell him that I said thank you for sending the Perfect
First Gift into the world on that First Noel. I will remember
these thoughts in my prayers and I'll tell God how grateful I am for
the gift of His son. Merry Christmas, Santa.
Sincerely,
Sally A. Meyers
