The tax rebate is Bush and his cronies way of bailing out big corporations using tax payers' money, it is NOT to help poorer America.
Why is there money to help big corporations, killing people, but when it comes to Social Security, the money is running out? Why don't they bail out Social Security? My measly $300 rebate has already gone to Big Oil. Yours most likely will end up in some big corporation's pockets too and our children will have to pick up the tab.

If you are planning on upgrading to Vista, there are hardly any drivers available. They are not the same as XP and most likely you will not be able to find drivers for your hardware at this time. Check with your manufacture for Vista drivers before you upgrade or you may be out of luck for a while until someone comes up with drivers. This is another repeat of XP SP 2.

Basically MS Word 97, 2000, XP, 03 and 07 are the same. Where they differ most is in the menus and the newer versions have more features. The basic operations of all are almost the same. The instructions listed on these pages are just basic instructions. The toolbars differ a little but the functions most people use daily are the same.

Office 2007 Fromat not compatiable with earliers versions.
When a file is created in MS Office 07 and saved in 07 format the earlier version cannot open, edit and save the formatting. 07 has features and formatting that the earlier versions do not recognize. Microsoft has a conversion tool out you can download to make 07 fromat work with the earlier versions of MS Word so they can open, edit and save in the 07 format.

Turn Automatic Sizing on or off for a Spreadsheet:
• Note
  • When you turn Automatic Sizing on, the spreadsheet expands and shrinks on the Web Page as necessary when you insert and delete rows and columns or when you change row heights or column widths.
• In the Design Window, make sure the spreadsheet is activated. For instructions, see Help for your design program.
• On the toolbar in the spreadsheet, click Property Toolbox.
• If the advanced section is not expanded, click the Advanced Bar.
• In the Auto Fit Spreadsheet List, do one of the following:
  • To allow the spreadsheet to expand and shrink as needed, click true.
  • If you want to prevent the spreadsheet from expanding beyond a specified size, type a value either in pixels or as a percentage of the entire web page in the Maximum Height Box or the Maximum Width Box, or in both boxes.
    • Example
      • To allow the spreadsheet to expand up to half the width of the web page, type 50% in the Maximum Width Box.
      • To limit the width of the spreadsheet to 300 pixels, type 300 in the Maximum Width Box.
  • To display the spreadsheet within the fixed space you allocated in the Design Program, click false.
• Note
  • If you set Auto Fit spreadsheet to false and also hide the scroll bars, inserting rows or columns in the browser might make existing rows or columns disappear off the edges of the spreadsheet.

Create a Form:

Create a Blank Form and select a Record Source:
• In the Database Window, click Forms under Objects.
• Click the New Button on the Database Window Toolbar.
• In the New Form Dialog Box, click Design View.
• Click the name of the table or other Record Source that includes the data you want to base your form. If the form won't contain data don't select anything from this list.
• Example
  • You want to create a form to use as a switchboard to open other forms or reports, or if you want to create a Custom Dialog Box.
• If you want to create a form that uses data from more than one table, base your form on a query.
• Click "OK".
• Access displays the form in Design View.

Create a Form by using Auto Form:
• Notes
  • Auto Form creates a form that displays all Fields and Records in the underlying table or query.
  • If the Record Source you select has related tables or queries, the form will also include all the fields and records from those record sources.
• In the Database Window, click Forms under Objects.
• Click New Button on the Database Window Toolbar.
• In the New Form Dialog Box, click one of the following wizards:
  • Auto Form: Columnar
    • Each field appears on a separate line with a label to its left.
  • Auto Form: Tabular
    • The fields in each record appear on one line, with the labels displayed once at the top of the form.
  • Auto Form: Datasheet
    • The fields in each record appear in row-and-column format, with one record in each row and one field in each column. The field names appear at the top of each column.
• Click the table or query that contains the data you want to base your form.
• Click OK.
• Notes
  • Access applies the last Auto Format you used to the form. If you haven't created a form with a wizard before or haven't used the Auto Format Command on the Format Menu, it uses the Standard Auto Format.
  • You can also create a Columnar Auto Form based on the Open Record Source or the Record Source that's selected in the Database Window. Click Auto Form on the Insert Menu, or click the arrow next to the New Object Button on the toolbar, and then click Auto Form.
  • If the Record Source you select has related tables, Auto Form adds a Sub Form Control that contains the related tables displayed as datasheets and subdatasheets.

Create a Form with a Wizard:
• In the Database Window, click Forms under Objects.
  
  
  
• Click the New Button on the Database Window Toolbar.
• In the New Form Dialog Box, click the wizard that you want to use.
  • A description of the wizard appears in the left side of the Dialog Box.
• Click the name of the table or other record source that includes the data you want to base your form.
• Note
  • You don't need to do this step if you click the Form Wizard Option - you can specify the Record Source for the form in the wizard.
• Click OK.
• Notes
  • If you clicked Form Wizard, Chart Wizard, or Pivot Table Wizard in step 3, follow the directions in the Wizard Dialog Boxes.
  • If you clicked Auto Form: Columnar, Auto Form: Tabular, or Auto Form: Datasheet, Access automatically creates your form.
  • If the resulting form doesn't look the way you want, you can change it in Design View.
  • If you click one of the Auto Form Options, Access uses the Auto Format you last specified, either in the Form Wizard or using the Auto Format Command on the Format Menu in Design View.

Create a New Form that is based on a Record Source that includes the Lookup Field.
• Access automatically creates the Lookup List Box or Combo Box.
• Open an existing form that is based on a Record Source that includes the Lookup Field.
• In Form Design View, click Field List on the toolbar to display the Field List.
• Then drag the Lookup Field from the Field List to the form. Access automatically creates the Lookup List Box or Combo Box.
• Switch to Form View to test the List Box or Combo Box.

Controls: What they are and how they work:

Toolbox


• All the information on a form or report is contained in controls. On Data Access Pages, information is contained in controls in the same way as it is on forms and reports. However, information can also be typed directly on the Data Access Page.
  • Controls are objects on a form, report, or Data Access Page that display data, perform actions, or are used for decoration.
• Example
  • You can use a Text Box on a form, report, or Data Access Page to display data, a Command Button on a form to open another form or report, or a line or rectangle to separate and Group Controls to make them more readable.
• Access includes the following types of controls, which are all accessible through the toolbox in Form Design View, Report Design View, or Data Access Page.
  • Design View:
    • Text Box:
      • You use text boxes on a form, report, or Data Access Page to display data from a Record Source.
    • Label:
      • You use labels on a form, report, or Data Access Page to display descriptive text such as titles, captions, or brief instructions. Labels do not display values from fields or expressions; they're always unbound and they do not change as you move from record to record.
    • Option Group:
      • You can use an option group on a form, report, or Data Access Page to display a limited set of alternatives. An option group makes selecting a value easy because you can just click the value that you want. Only one option in an option group can be selected at a time. In a form or report, an option group consists of a group frame and a set of Check Boxes, Option Buttons, and Toggle Buttons. In a Data Access Page, an option group consists of a group frame and a set of Option Buttons.
    • Option Button:
      • You can use an Option Button on a form, report, or Data Access Page as a Stand-alone control to display a Yes/No value from an underlying record source.
    • Check Box:
      • You can use a Check Box on a form, report, or Data Access Page as a Stand-alone Control to display a Yes/No value from an underlying table, query, or SQL statement.
    • List Box:
      • A control you can include in a form to list blues from which users can select.
    • Command Button:
      • A button that carries out a macro action or event procedure.
    • Image Control:
      • A control used to change an image, height, width, properties and etc.
    • Line:
      • The control to draw a straight line.
    • Rectangle:
      • The control to draw a rectangle.
    • ActiveX Custom Controls:
      • Used to create your own controls.
  • Forms and reports have these additional controls:
    • Toggle Button:
      • You can use a Toggle Button on a form as a Stand-alone control to display a Yes/No value from an underlying Record Source.
    • Combo Box:
      • A control you can include in a form to show values in a Drop-down List.
    • Bound Object Frame:
      • The command to add a picture or object to a form that connects or links to a table or other file.
    • Unbound Object Frame:
      • The command to add a picture or object that is embedded in a form.
    • Subform/Subreport:
      • A smaller form within a form, or a smaller report within a report.
  • Page Break. Data Access Pages also include the:
    • Drop-down List Box:
      • A Drop-down List Box on a Data Access Page looks like a Combo Box on a form. As in a Combo Box, a Drop-down List Box shows only one record until you click to expand the contents; however, you can't type new values in a Drop-down List Box.
    • Hyperlinks:
      • A code that connects to a site on the WWW or launches an E-mail Application.
    • Scrolling Text:
      • Scrolling text, often called a Marquee, on a Data Access Page to display moving text or text that scrolls.
    • Pivot Table List:
      • A Pivot Table List is an interactive table that you can use to analyze data dynamically from within your Web browser. You can use a Pivot Table list to view and organize data from lists or databases, look for information or details, and create personalized summaries and reports. However, you cannot add, edit, or delete the data values that are displayed in a Pivot Table list.
    • Spreadsheet: A grid of columns and rows that you add data to.
    • Chart Components:
      • The components of a chart.
        

Move a Form Control to another section:
• To move a control to another section of a form or report.
• Open the form or report in Design view.
• Click the control.
• Place the pointer over the control until it changes to an open hand. You CAN'T drag the control to another section while the pointer is an upward-pointing hand.
• Drag the control to the other section.
• If there is a label attached to the control, that label moves with the control to the other section.
• Note
  • When the mouse pointer is an upward-pointing hand, you can move a control and its label separately, but only within the current section of the form or report.

Controls can be Bound, Unbound, or Calculated.
• Bound Control:
  • Is tied to a field in an underlying table or query. You use Bound Controls to Display, Enter, and Update Values from Fields in your database.
• Unbound Control:
  • Doesn't have a data source. You can use Unbound Controls to display information, Lines, Rectangles, and Pictures
• Calculated Control:
  • Uses an expression as its source of data. An expression can use data from a field in an underlying table or query of a form or report, or from another control on the form or report.

Create a Bound or Unbound Combo, Drop-down List box, or List box:
• Notes
  • How you create a Combo Box, Drop-down List Box, or List Box depends on two issues:
    • Whether you want the values in the box to come from a Fixed List or from a table or query.
    • Whether you want Access to save the values that the user selects, or to use the values to determine the contents of another control.

Create a Bound List Box or Combo Box that displays data in and Access database:
• You can create a List Box or Combo Box that retrieves information from a Lookup Field in a table in a Access Database (.mdb).
  • There is no Lookup Field in tables in an Access Project (.adp), but you can create a Bound List Box, Combo Box, or Drop-down List Box that displays data without using a Lookup Field.

Create a Bound List Box, Combo Box, or Drop-down List Box that retrieves data from a table or query in a Microsoft Access Project or a Data Access Page:
• Create a new form, report, or Data Access Page based on a Record Source that includes a Foreign Key Field.
• In the toolbox, make sure the Control Wizards Tool is pressed in.
• Note
  • Wizards are NOT AVAILABLE in a Stand-alone Data Access Page, or when you point a Data Access Page to a Database other than the one currently open. In both cases, you will have to create the List Box or Drop-down List Box on your own.
• Click the List Box Tool, Combo Box Tool, or drop-down List Tool, and then click where you want to place the control on the form, report, or Data Access Page.
• Follow the instructions in the Wizard Dialog Boxes.
• When the wizard asks you how you want to get the values for the list, select the option that says you want to look up the values in a table or query.
• In a form or report, when the wizard asks if you want to Store the Value in the field, select the option to Store the Value in the field and select the field from the list.
• In the last Wizard Dialog Box, click finish.
• In a Data Access Page, click Properties on the toolbar to open the Property Sheet for the control.
• In the Control Source Property Box, select the field to bind the List Box or the Drop-down List Box.
  

Calculated Control on a Form or Report:
• Open a form in Design View or a report in Design View.
• Click the Tool in the toolbox for the Type of Control you want to use as the Calculated Control.
• Notes
  • A Text Box is the most common type of control to use to display a Calculated Value, but you can use any control that has a Control Source property.
  • On the form or report, click where you want to place the control.
• Do one of the following:
  • If the control is a Text Box, you can type the expression directly in the text box.
  • For any control, make sure the control is selected, click properties on the toolbar to display the Control's Property Sheet, and type the expression in the Control Source Property Box.
    • To use the Expression Builder to create the expression in a Access database (.mdb), click the Build Button next to the Control Source Property Box.
• Notes
  • In a Calculated Control, precede each expression with the (=) operator.
  • If you need more room to type an expression in the Control Source Property Box, press SHIFT+F2 to open the Zoom Box.
  • If a form is based on a query, you may want to put the expression in the query instead of in a Calculated Control.

Calculate a total for one record in a form:
• Open the form in Design View.
• Click the Text Box Tool in the toolbox.
• In the Forms Detail Section, click where you want to place the Text Box.
• Do one of the following:
  • Place the Insertion Point in the text box and type an expression that calculates a total. To see examples of expressions you can use to compute values for one record.
  • Make sure the text box is selected, click Properties on the toolbar to open its Property Sheet, and type the expression in the Control Source Property Box. In Access Database (.mdb), to use the Expression Builder to create the expression, click the Build Button next to the Control Source Property Box.
• Notes
  • If you need more room to type an expression in the Control Source Property Box, press SHIFT+F2 to open the Zoom Box. If a form is based on a query, you may want to put the expression in the query instead of in a Calculated Control.

Create a Label:
• Use this procedure to create a Stand-alone Label.
• To create a label that's attached to a control, just create the control. Access automatically attaches a label to the control when you create it.
• Open a form in Design View, a report in Design View, or a Data Access Page in Design View.
• Click the Label Tool in the toolbox.
• On the form, report, or Data Access Page, click where you want to place the label, and then type the text for the label.
• Notes
  • If you want to display the text in a label on more than one line on a form or report, you can resize the label after you enter all the text, or you can press CTRL+ENTER at the end of the first line of text to enter a carriage return. If you insert a carriage return, Access automatically wraps subsequent lines as you type.
  • To MANUALLY insert a Line Break on a subsequent line, press CTRL+ENTER again. The length of the first line of text determines the maximum width of the label.
  • If you want to use an Ampersand in a label on a form or report, YOU MUST TYPE TWO AMPERSANDS. This is because Access uses the Ampersand in a label or button to define an Access Key.

Create a Lookup Field in Table Design View.
• Notes
  • You can create a Lookup List Box or Combo Box without creating a Lookup Field, but if you create a Lookup Field in a table, you only need to create the List Box or Combo Box once. Then you can use the same Lookup List on any form.
  • If you do not plan to use the same Lookup List in more than one form, you can use the List Box Wizard or Combo Box Wizard in Form Design View.
Do one of the following:

Create an Unbound List Box, Drop-down List Box, or Combo Box that displays values from a Table or Query:
• Open a Form in Design View or a Data Access Page in Design View.
• Make sure that the Control Wizards Tool is pressed in the Toolbox.
• Note
  • Wizards are NOT AVAILABLE in a Stand-alone Data Access Page or when you point a Data Access Page to a database other than the one currently open. In both cases, you will have to create the List Box or Drop-down List Box on your own.
• Click the List Box Tool, the Drop-down List Tool, or the Combo Box Tool in the toolbox.
• On the form or Data Access Page, click where you want to place the List Box, Drop-down List Box, or Combo Box.
• Follow the instructions in the Wizard Dialog Boxes.
• When the wizard asks how you want to get the values for the list, select the option that says you want to Look up Values in a table or query.
• When the wizard asks whether you want to Store the Value or remember it for later use, select the option that says you'll remember it for later use.
• Notes
  • When you use a wizard to create a Drop-down List box based on a table or query in a Data Access Page, Access sets the List Row Source Property to the table you specified in the wizard.
  • If the Drop-down List Box isn't sorted the way that you want, you can create a query with a New Sort Order and select the query in the List Row Source Property box.

Discard Report Design changes made during this session:
• Notes
  • If you open a saved form or report in Microsoft Access 2000, make some design changes, and then decide that you don't want to keep those changes, you can revert to the last saved version of the form or report without closing it.
  • In previous versions of Access, you had to close the form or report without saving changes and then reopen it in order to discard design changes.
  • To revert to the last saved version, click Revert on the File Menu. The Revert Command is not available unless you have opened a form or report in Design View and have made changes to it.
• CAUTION
  • Once you have reverted to the last saved version of the form or report, you cannot recover the changes that you have made to the form or report since you last opened it.
  • If you are not sure whether you want to discard your changes, save the form or report with a different name instead of using the Revert command.

Add or Remove a Form Header and Footer or a Page Header and Footer:
• Open the form in Design View.
• Click Form Header/Footer or Page Header/Footer on the View Menu.
• Notes
  • Form "Headers and Footers" appear at the top and bottom of a form in Form View and at the beginning and end of a printed form.
  • Page "Headers and Footers" appear at the top and bottom of each printed page - they don't appear in Form View.
  • If you remove a header and footer, Access deletes the controls in the header and footer.
  • You can ONLY ADD a header and footer as a PAIR. If you DON'T WANT both a header and footer, you can size the one you don't want so that it has no height, or you can set its Visible Property to No.
  • You can also set the Display, when property of a form header and footer to specify when you want the header and footer to be displayed?
    • Always
    • In Print Only
    • On The Screen Only

Change the Size of a Header, Footer, or Other Section on a Form or Report:
• You can increase or decrease the height of form and report sections individually.
• However, a form or report has only one width. When you change the width of one section, you change the width of the entire form or report.
• Change either height or width
• Open the form in Design View or the report in Design View.
• Change either the height or width by placing the pointer on the bottom edge or right edge of the section.
• Drag the pointer up or down to change the height of the section. Drag the pointer left or right to change the width of the section.

Change both height and width in a header and footer:

• Place the pointer in the lower-right corner of the section and drag it diagonally in any direction.

E-mail :

• Notes:
  • You can use the Send To: To include the Specified Access Datasheet, Form, Report, Module, or Data Access Page in an electronic mail message, where it can be viewed and forwarded.
  • You can include objects in Microsoft Excel 2000 (*.xls), MS-DOS text (*.txt), rich-text (*.rtf), or HTML (*.html) format in messages for Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Mail, Microsoft Windows for Workgroups mail, or another electronic mail application that USES the Microsoft Mail Applications Programming Interface (MAPI).
    

How to remove the divider line from between the Header/Detail and Footer/Detail Sections when printing:
• Close Form
• Then open it in Design View.
• Click on Edit on the Formatting Toolbar.
• Select Form.
• Then click on the Properties Icon on the Formatting Toolbar.
• Then click "NO" for the dividing lines in the Properties Dialog Box.
• Close the Properties Dialog Box and the lines will no longer print.

If Outlook or Outlook Express is your E-mail client:
• Click File On the Menu Toolbar.
• Click Send To.
• Click Mail Recipient or Mail Recipient (as attachment).
• Depending on which mail program your using one of two things will open.
  • Your default E-mail program will open.
  • The window your working in will change to an E-mail program if Outlook or Outlook Express is your default E-mail program.
• To:
  • The recipients of the message whose names you want to put on the To line in the mail message. If you leave this argument blank, Access prompts you for the recipients' names.
  • Separate the recipients' names you specify in this argument and in the Cc and Bcc arguments with a semicolon (;) or with the list separator set on the Number tab of the Regional Settings Properties dialog box in Windows Control Panel. If the mail application can't identify the recipients' names, the message isn't sent and an error occurs.
• Cc:
  • The recipients of the message whose names you want to put on the Cc ("carbon copy") line in the mail message. If you leave this argument blank, the Cc line in the mail message is blank.
• BCC:
  • The recipients of the message whose names you want to put on the BCC ("blind carbon copy") line in the mail message. If you leave this argument blank, the BCC line in the mail message is blank.
• Subject:
  • The subject of the message. This text appears on the Subject line in the mail message. If you leave this argument blank, the Subject line in the mail message is blank.
• Click Send a Copy.

If you use other MAPI E-mail client:
• Note
  • You can't include objects in Microsoft Active Server (*.asp) or Microsoft IIS (*.htx, *.idc) format, although these selections are displayed in the list
• To:
  • The recipients of the message whose names you want to put on the To line in the mail message. If you leave this argument blank, Microsoft Access prompts you for the recipients' names.
  • Separate the recipients' names you specify in this argument and in the Cc and BCC arguments with a semicolon (;) or with the list separator set on the Number tab of the Regional Settings Properties dialog box in Windows Control Panel. If the mail application can't identify the recipients' names, the message isn't sent and an error occurs.
• Cc:
  • The recipients of the message whose names you want to put on the Cc ("carbon copy") line in the mail message. If you leave this argument blank, the Cc line in the mail message is blank.
• BCC:
  • The recipients of the message whose names you want to put on the BCC ("blind carbon copy") line in the mail message. If you leave this argument blank, the BCC line in the mail message is blank.

  • Any text you want to include in the message in addition to the database object. This text appears in the main body of the mail message, after the object. If you leave this argument blank, no additional text is included in the mail message. If you leave the Object Type and Object Name arguments blank, you can use this argument to send a mail message without a database object.
• Edit Message:
  • Specifies whether the message can be edited before it is sent. If you select Yes, the electronic mail application starts automatically, and the message can be edited. If you select No, the message is sent without providing a chance to edit the message. The default is No.
  • Template File:
  • The path and file name of a file you want to use as a template for an .html file. The template file is a file containing HTML tags.
• Note
  • The Send To action is available only if you have a MAPI-compliant electronic mail application installed on your computer, or if you have a VIM-compliant electronic mail application and have installed and set up Mapivi32.dll. Add a Custom Address List to you Outlook toolbar:
• Notes
  • If you send E-mail to the same people frequently, you can automate the process of creating and addressing the message.
  • With Outlook, you can add a Custom Toolbar button that lists the people to whom you send E-mail most often.
  • Then, with one click, you can create a new message that's addressed to the person you want to send it to and, if you regularly send E-mail with the same Subject Line, such as a weekly report, you can also create a message that has the subject line filled in.
• There are two parts to creating a Custom List of Recipients.
  • First, create the Toolbar Button.
  • Then, add the E-mail addresses and Subject Lines to it.

Create a Custom Toolbar Button:
• Click Tools on the Menu Toolbar, click Customize, and then click the Commands Tab.
• In the Categories list, click New Menu.
• In the Commands List, click New Menu and drag it to the toolbar. When the pointer looks like an I-beam, release the mouse button.
• On the toolbar, right-click the New Menu Button, and in the Name Box on the Shortcut Menu, type a name for the New Toolbar Button.

Add E-mail Addresses and Subject lines:
• In the Customize Dialog Box, in the Categories List, click File.
• In the Commands List, click Mail Message and drag it to the Custom Menu Button that you added to the toolbar.
• When you rest the pointer over the Custom Button, a gray box appears.
• Drop the Mail Message command onto the gray box.
• If you are adding a Subsequent Command, NO gray box will appear. Drop the command onto the most recent command you added.
• Note
  • If you want to use a different icon, choose the command from the Commands List that has the icon you want.
• Example
  • If you add a Distribution List, you can use the Distribution List Command to get the Distribution List Icon.

Create Icons:
• On the toolbar, right-click the Mail Message Command, and in the Name Box on the Shortcut Menu, type a name for the Person, Distribution List, or Alias you're assigning to the command.
• Then, on the Shortcut Menu, point to Assign Hyperlink, and then click Open.
• Under Link to, click E-mail Address.
• In the E-mail Address Box, enter the E-mail Address of the person, Distribution List, or Alias you want to assign to the command.
• If you want this automatically addressed message to also have a Standard Subject Line, such as Status Report, type it in the Subject Box.
• Repeat these steps for each person, group, or standard subject line you want to add to the button.

  • Entries that start with A through D.

  • Displays all entries that start with the letters N through Z.
• Is Null
  • Displays all entries where that field is Null (blank).
• Is Not Null
  • Displays all entries where the field contains a value.
• Like "*ar*"
  • Entries that include the letter sequence "AR".
• Like "Rick Selb?"
  • Entries with "Rick" as the first part of its name and a 5-letter second name in which the first 4 letters are "Selb" and the last letter is unknown.

• A field list, lists all the fields in the table.

• The Form tab order box is where you set your tab orders.
• Highlight the field you want to move and drag it to the position you want it in the tab order

Add a Horizontal Line to a Form:
• Open the form in Design View.
• Click the Line Tool in the toolbox.
• Draw a horizontal line from left to right in the section in which you want display a line.
• Note
  • If you add a line at the top or bottom of the detail section, you will see a line either before or after every detail record.

Add a Vertical Line between columns in a Detail Section:
• Open the form in Design View.
• Click the Line Tool in the toolbox.
• Draw a line between the first and second controls in the Detail Section. The height of the line must be the same as the height of the Detail Section.
• Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each pair of controls in the Detail Section.
• On the View menu, click Print Preview.
• Note
  • If you see discontinued lines when you preview your form, increase the length of each vertical line in Design View until you see a single line.

Multiple operations:
Apply Text and Graphics Formatting Multiple Times:
• Select the item whose format you would like to copy.
• To copy the selected format to several items, DOUBLE-CLICK the Format Painter Button. The button stays selected, or "Sticky."
• Select the text or graphic where you want to apply the new format.
• When you're finished applying the format, click the Format Painter Button again or press ESC.
• Note
  • Applying text and graphics formatting multiple times does not work between programs. Example
    • You cannot apply formatting from Word to Power Point.

Insert a Drawing Object Multiple Times:
• To view the Drawing Toolbar, right-click any toolbar and select Drawing.
• To insert a drawing object several times, DOUBLE-CLICK the Drawing Object Button (such as Rectangle) on the Drawing toolbar. The button stays selected or "Sticky."
• Insert your drawing object several times by clicking in the appropriate locations.
• When you're finished inserting the objects, click the Drawing Object Button again, or press ESC.
• Note
  • You can also turn any of the drawing objects available from the Auto Shapes Button on the Drawing Toolbar into "Sticky" Drawing Object Buttons.
  • Simply click the Auto Shapes Button, point to a category (such as Flowchart), and a submenu of shapes opens up.
  • Drag the move handle at the top of the submenu to create a Floating Toolbar. Then double-click the Drawing Object Button (such as Flowchart: Process).
  • The button now stays "Sticky."
    

Moving Text, Graphics and Formatting Multiple Times:
• Select the item whose format you would like to copy.
• To copy the selected format to several items, DOUBLE-CLICK the Format Painter Button. The button stays selected, or "Sticky."
• Select the text or graphic where you want to apply the New Format.
• When you're finished applying the format, click the Format Painter Button again or press ESC.
• Note
  • Applying text and graphics formatting multiple times does not work between programs. Example
    • You cannot apply formatting from Word to Power Point.

Move Text and Graphics with the "Spike":
• Select an item you want to move, and then press CTRL+F3.
• Repeat this step until all the items are on the Spike.
• Click a place in the current document, or in a new document, where you want to paste the items.
• Do one of the following:
  • If you want to paste the items once and empty the Spike, press CTRL+SHIFT+F3.
  • If you want to paste the items Multiple times, type Spike, and then press F3.

Print a Form:
• Before you print a form for the first time, you might want to check the margins, page orientation, and other page setup options.
• Select the report in the Database Window, or open the form in Design View, Print Preview, or Layout Preview.
• On the File Menu, click Print.
  • Enter the settings you want in the Print Dialog Box.
    
  • Under Printer, specify a printer.
    
  • Under Print Range, specify all pages or a range of pages.
    
  • Under Copies, specify the number of copies and whether they should be collated.
• Click OK.
• Note
  • "Print one section per page" is in that fields Properties under FORCED NEW PAGE.
    

Display or Hide Scroll Bars in a Spreadsheet:
• In the Design Window, make sure the spreadsheet is activated.
• On the toolbar in the spreadsheet, click Property Toolbox.
• If the Advanced Section is not expanded, click the Advanced Bar.
• In the Auto Fit Spreadsheet List, click false.
  • To display a scroll bar at the bottom of the spreadsheet, click true in the Horizontal Scroll Bar List.
  • To hide the scroll bar at the bottom of the spreadsheet, click false in the Horizontal Scroll Bar List.
  • To display a scroll bar at the side of the spreadsheet, click true in the Vertical Scroll Bar List.
  • To hide the scroll bar at the side of the spreadsheet, click false in the Vertical Scroll Bar List.
• Notes
  • If you hide the scroll bars and also set the Auto Fit spreadsheet option to false, inserting rows or columns in the browser might make existing rows or columns disappear off the edges of the spreadsheet.
  • These settings CANNOT be changed from the toolbox in the browser.
  • If the toolbar for the spreadsheet is displayed, the area used by the spreadsheet will be at least as wide as the toolbar.
  • This setting applies ONLY in the browser, not when you view the spreadsheet in the Design Program.
  • This setting CANNOT be changed from the toolbox in the browser.

• The toolbox is where you find the tools to insert:
  • bound boxes
  • unbound boxes
  • lines
  • text boxes
  • and many more
• To insert the boxes, lines or whatever you want to insert, click the button on the toolbox and drag it to your form.
